Profs' Phonics Smar-test 2 app for iPhone and iPad
Profs Phonics Smar-test allows children aged 3 to 7 years to refine their knowledge of phonemic awareness in a fun and easy to administer format.
This app has been developed from international research into beginning reading. This includes The Independent Rose Review of the Teaching of Early Reading in the UK (https://www.education.gov.uk/publications/standard/publicationDetail/Page1/DFES-0201-2006). It is important to assess a concept once it is taught as this is the only way that you can be sure that your child has grasped the concept.
Smar-test builds on the words introduced in the apps Profs’ Phonics 1 and Profs’ Phonics 2, also by Doc Ruth.
